Staying Inside Isn't Too Bad Now...

Here are some pictures of a recent project from Pine Canyon Homes. The family took unfinished basement space and turned it into a home theater. They did a great job with the colors, and we hope they are enjoying some quality movie time now (in their home!).

Why we love spring

Who doesn't look forward to spring? Opening up the windows, exercising outside again, and family BBQ's. The sun comes out, and it brings people outside to enjoy it.

It is also the time of year that we do a lot of bids on decks. Here are some that we have built over the past couple of years that make the thought of spring (and summer...and fall!), and just being outside even more appealing!

Bountiful

We had a chance to do what we love in Bountiful recently; take a beautiful home and add the things for the homeowners that really make it their home. The front room in this house is the first thing that guests see when they walk in, and it is beautiful. We added the wains coat around the room, and also put in the bench below the window. The bench opens up for additional storage. We also added the door in the room. It goes into a butler's pantry, and then into the kitchen. It made it's purpose as a formal dining room much more functional. Finishing the project, we added the new light over the table. We hope the family is enjoying this new room as much as we enjoyed building it.

Garage

When you have lived in a neighborhood for so long, you will overlook some of the inconveniences of older homes because to you the good outweighs the bad. In most cases, it does! Great friends and neighbors can be irreplaceable. We love helping people make the changes to their homes that allow them to stay where they are, and have the quality they deserve.

This family lives in one of those neighborhoods. We enjoyed working with them to build this well deserved garage. They not only added value to their home, but also quality that is allowing them to Enjoy It Now!

Family Library

We really enjoyed our last project for a family in Traverse Mountain. The family wanted to continue finishing their basement with a library/billiards room. They chose double pocket doors in between the family room and the new room to make the room feel open, saving the space that swinging doors take up in a room. They also chose a cherry wood for the shelves, and for the trim throughout the room. All in all, great choices by a great family. It looks beautiful, and we were lucky to work with such great people, something else we enjoy in our job. Hopefully, they are enjoying this new addition with family throughout this holiday season.

It's the small things.

In remodeling, and custom designing your home, it's the small things that make the difference.

Look at this baby girl's nursery. A little bead board goes a long way. The shelf adds personality as well, taking this room from an average room, to a completed room.
Both were simple, small changes making a big difference.

Pine Canyon Homes enjoys these projects. It may not be building a new house, but it is still making people happy, and helping them Enjoy Their Homes Now!
